Samy Korbi - Cert III Trainee
Trainee Cert III Children's Services
Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
Currently completing Cert IV Financial Management
Clerical Support
Born Kogarah, Sydney NSW, 1970, St George Hospital. Oldest of 5 sibling, 3 boys and 2 girls. Born and breed on the sunny shores of picturesque Botany Bay and the Cooks River (6 lanes of traffic, international airport, and numerous heavy industries). Educated, Kyeemagh Infants, Brighton le Sands Primary, James Cook Boys High and RMIT. Oh, almost forgot the time I briefly attended St George Girls High (It’s a selective school, you know). After various stints as a paperboy, burger flipper, pizza tosser, Union delegate, courier, mail sorter, NSW public servant and an un-illustrious couple of years as a reservist. I retired to renovate and start a family in the Maitland area. Previously having lived in Orange and various locals in Southern Sydney. As a younger man I enjoyed playing cricket and Rugby Union particularly 7’s and some may even say was slightly above average. Now, I collect LEGO and vintage APPLE electronics. I have 3 gorgeous children, Isabella (Princess) 11, Hamish 9 (Hammy) and Isaac (Yuk-ka) 7, one wife Tina aged (ha-ha), and a Border collie, Nikki (age and heritage unknown).I at present find myself working in one of the most beautiful, loving and caring places I have ever had the pleasure to be.I love teaching, having worked as a TAFE teacher and Workplace trainer/assessor.Now, working with children comes with so many wonderful moments, the laughter and warmth that only a child can bring. The joy of discovering something for the first time. Playing with toy dinosaurs in the sandpit on a sunny day, I wish sometimes I could go back. All I want is to help make the world at better place and have people treat me the way I treat them. I am still a work in progress so bare with me sometimes when I have to iron out some wrinkles.
